Our Top Selling Organic Italian Red Wines

Our organic wine are produced in small family owned Italian vineyards where our winemakers ensure our organic wines are made from grapes grown without all the chemicals—synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides—and that all additional ingredients are also certified organic.

Organic wine is better for you to drink as the organic wine grapes are much healthier and therefore produce heartier skins and higher concentrations of all of those good for you anthocyanins and antioxidants, including polyphenols and cardio-friendly resveratrol.

The main difference between organic wine and normal wine is the amount of sulfites. The level of sulfites in wine is measured in “ppm”, or parts per million. Wine made with organic grapes and biodynamic wine can have sulfites up to 100 ppm, while conventional processed wine can have sulfites up to 350 ppm. The sulfites in our organic wines are much lower, typically in the range of between 40ppm – 80ppm.

Organic red non-sulfited wines can last as long as sulfited wines if properly made. We recommend storing them at the same temperature as all wines are stored, at room temperature or below.

Merlot DOC £14.90

A delicious intense organic ruby red coloured wine with very balanced balsamic tones, aromas of chamomile, blackcurrant, blueberry jam, cedar, black pepper. It tastes pleasant with soft notes, intertwined with freshness and flavour with a fruity and mentholated finish. A wine with great personality that is extremely full, with a particular body. Ideal with white meats like stewed rabbit with aromatic herb.

Cabernet Franc £15.00

This elegant organic wine is complex and lively. It has a rich fruity floral bouquet with hints of plum, blackberry and cherry, and aromas that reflect the wood, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.This is perfect with red meat and game.

Refosco DOC £15.80

This beautiful organic wine stands out for its colours, it is a red ruby colour with violet reflections. It has a very pleasant bouquet of violets and irises, plum, sour cherry, blueberry and blackberry. It has a fresh, full-bodied taste balanced with round tannins. It is excellent with garganelli and with small game dishes.

This lively ruby red coloured organic wine is very consistent. It has a very elegant bouquet with hints of cherry and fresh violets. It tastes balanced, soft, persistent with a pleasant sweet fruit aftertaste. Perfect with meat, risotto and cheese.

Lacryma Christi DOC £18.90

This delicious elegant intense and consistent fruity organic wine has a persistent bouquet of peach and tart apricot. It tastes full-bodied, pleasant, dry and perfectly balanced due to the equilibrium between the feelings of freshness and softness. A perfect accompaniment to rabbit, white meats and delicate cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 12°C.

This very intense ample organic wine is complex and consistent. It has a fruity bouquet with persistent notes of cherry, strawberry and fruits of wood jam. It is perfect with Neapolitan meats, roast red meats, game, truffled foods and cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18°C.

This beautiful deep ruby red coloured organic wine has a rich and mellow bouquet of wild berries in perfect harmony with spicy hints of black pepper and balsamic notes. It has a generous flavour, with a pleasant tannic, velvety and persistent sensation. It goes well with grilled mushrooms, risottos and bean soups.

This delicious ruby red coloured organic wine with garnet shades, is very consistent. The intense bouquet is of ripe cherry, blackberry and light hints of vanilla and chocolate. It tastes very pleasant with velvety tannins and a persistent aftertaste of cherries. Perfect with grilled meat and medium to hard cheeses. Serve at a temperature of between 16-18°C.

This intense ruby red organic wine has an excellent transparency and is very consistent. It’s has a bouquet of ethereal with hints of ripe fruit, particularly cherry and is balanced with hints of toasted wood and cocoa. It tastes full bodied, aromatic, very soft and balanced with a long aftertaste of cherries in brandy. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to game, braised meats, red meats and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature between 16-18°C.

An intense ruby red wine with an equally intense bouquet of persistent notes of plum, cherry and strawberry jam and spiced undertones of pepper and liquorice. It tastes full-bodied, pleasant and elegant, dry and persistent which is both balanced,,harmonic and soft with refined tannins.it is perfect with sausages, roast of red meats, game, truffled foods and cheeses. It is best served at a temperature of 18°C.

Barbera DOCG – No Sulphates £28.00

This purple red vegan wine, with rich garnet tints, has a very intense colour. It has a bouquet of ethereal, wild berries and cherries. It tastes very elegant and refined, warm, soft, round and balanced in all its aspects. It can accompany the most complex of international dishes. It is certified ORGANIC by Bios. Serve at a temperature of between 18-20°C.
